RLX-810/G39DDC Client for Android

The WiNRADiO RLX-810/G39DDC android client (RLXClient) is a native application for the Android OS. This is a simplified client for the G39DDC version of the RLX-810 LAN Receiver. It provides some basic features to connect to and control a RLX-810 server. It displays a spectrum and waterfall of the selected signal (wide, DDC1 or DDC2) and plays demodulated audio. It also allows the user to tune the receiver, set the demodulation mode, spectrum resolution bandwidth (RBW), select DDC width, demodulator bandwidth, audio streaming format and displays basic status information about the RLX-810 server. This application does not support the more advanced features of the RLX-810 server such as recorder, sweeper, activity monitor, scanner, memory or scheduler (only status notifications are available for these).

Installation and running

  1. Enable "Unknown sources"

Android protects users from inadvertent download and install of apps from locations other than Google Play (which is trusted). It blocks such installs until the user opts-in Unknown sources in Settings > Security. You need to change this setting before you download the installer to your device.

  2. Download the application package

Download the RLXClient_G39DDC.apk application package to your device.

  3. Install the application

Open the downloaded apk file - that will install the client application to your device.

  4. Run the application

Locate the RLX Client application in your launcher and launch it.

The application starts with the following screen:

Enter the server address to the Server field. Either the server name (the client tries to resolve it), or the IP address can be used. If the server uses other than the default port (5000), it can be entered using a colon. For example rlxserver.com:5432

Enter your login name to the Login field and password to the Password field and click Connect to connect to the server.
